Worship: Our Lives – God’s Glory

First, Seek Him...

When God and His Word impact our hearts and lives, we can respond to Him with all that we are through worship. “Seeking Him” is one way we can worship Him – by putting our attention on Him. Think of one way you are seeking Him this week.

...Then Speak Him!

Praise is telling someone else about how special another person is. When you “Speak Him” into the lives of those entrusted to you, you are praising and worshipping God in yet another way.

What Else Does the Bible Say About This Truth?

Our God is an amazing God! He is, “Merciful and gracious, slow to anger, filled with unfailing love and faithfulness, (and) forgiving…” (Exodus 34:6-7). He wants us to respond to all He is by giving Him all we are. We do this by worshipping Him with our entire lives!

There are so many ways we can worship the Lord. He loves when we worship Him through things like prayer (Acts 13:2), music (Ephesians 5:19), songs and shouts (Psalm 95:1), dance (Psalm 149:3), giving our treasures (Matthew 2:11), community with other believers (Psalm 55:14) and fasting (Luke 2:37). God wants us to worship Him with gladness (Psalm 100:2), faith (Matthew 28:17), joy (Luke 24:52), and in Spirit and in truth (John 4:23-24). Worshipping God encompasses our entire lives in every way. This is how we become “living sacrifices” – with every breath and in every step, we glorify and worship the Lord.

How Can We Live Out This Truth?

Let’s go to the sink and fill a cup with water. Imagine the faucet is God who gave us life and fills us up with His Spirit. The cup can represent us, and the liquid our worship to God. God wants us to pour every bit of our lives out to worship Him, not holding back a drop! And here’s the great thing – He can (and will!) refill us over and over again so we can worship Him more!

How Shall We Respond To The Lord In This Truth?

Worship through Praise:

Worship through Praise: Psalm 34 The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir (watch ‘til the end and let your heart engage the worship with the people!)

Worship through Prayer:  Lord God, the heavens declare Your glory; the angels sing Your praise. We join the chorus of praising You, for You are: “Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, Who was and is and is to come! You are worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power…” (Revelation 4:8, 11 NKJV). We magnify, exalt, bless and worship You, together, today. Amen!!!
