Family Disciple Me responds to the Covid-19 Pandemic.

It Starts with a Conversation

May You Pray- Three Times a Day

First, Seek Him...

There are many uncertainties in life. Our hearts can easily become tired and weary from all the hurts and wounds we experience. But, this is the confidence we have in approaching God: He hears us! Morning, noon and night; whenever we cry out, He is there, ready to listen. Seek Him!

...Then Speak Him

When life doesn’t go the way we plan or our prayers aren’t answered the way we had hoped they would, it can be easy to give up. But what are you teaching those entrusted to you right now? How do you show them endurance in praying through life’s ups and downs?

Psalm 55:17
“Morning, noon and night I cry out…and the Lord hears my voice.’”

Word

God, what are you saying to me?

Not only in the morning, not only at night, but ALL day, the Lord hears the cries of our heart. He hears the hurts you haven’t shared with anyone else. He hears the broken feelings and emotions no one else might understand. God can take it all! He is always ready to listen to us – morning, noon or night! What is it that you have been waiting to share or talk to someone about? Can you share this with us right now? Before we move on, let’s stop and pray about this together!

Why

God, why does this matter?

With God we never have to leave a message or wait in line. He’s always present for us. Unlike other relationships in life, we don’t have to wait to talk to God. No matter what happens, whenever it happens, He is ready to listen. He wants to listen. But, sometimes we forget He’s there. How would you feel if I went a whole day without saying a word to you? How do you think God feels when we don’t talk to Him?

What

God, What Else Does Your Word Say About This?

Mark 13:33 says, “Take heed, watch and pray.” Luke 18:1 says “Pray always…” and 1 Thessalonians 5:17 reminds us to “Pray without ceasing…” All throughout Scripture, we are encouraged to pray persistently without giving up. Daniel was a person in Scripture who persistently prayed three times a day (Daniel 6:10). What does “persistently” mean to you? What is something you do “persistently”? How can we apply this to our habit of praying?

Worship

God, How do you want me to respond to this truth?

When we pray, we are communicating with God, and communication is one of the most important parts of a relationship. In order to build our relationship with God – you got it – we must pray! Prayer should be the response to the cries of our heart. He wants us to talk to Him! Let’s set some reminders to help us remember to pray as we go about our day! We could set phone alarms or put notes on our bathroom mirrors. Let’s be creative in how we practice prayer and remember to pray – morning, noon and night!

Psalm 55:17
“Morning, noon and night I cry out…and the Lord hears my voice.’”

A Family Blessing

A Blessing from this Lesson to Speak over Those God has Entrusted to You!

Lord, teach us to pray like never before this month! As we cry out to You, hear our prayers and respond to our cries for mercy! (Psalm 143:1) We love You Lord, and we thank You that You care so much about our prayers. In Jesus’ Name, Amen!!
