It Starts with a Conversation

Love Story: Loving In All My Story

First, Seek Him...

It’s one thing to be loving in some things, like when it’s a special event or people who love us. It’s another thing to be loving in ALL things. This week, ask God to show you if you are truly loving in ALL your story.

...Then Speak Him

Being loving in ALL our stories is a great conversation to have with those entrusted to us. This week’s verse is so clear, so to the point. And it begs the question:  are we loving the way God wants us to love? Seek Him then Speak Him into the lives of those entrusted to you!
1 Corinthians 16:14
“Let all that you do be done in love.”

Word

God, what are you saying to me?
Not just during Valentine’s month, but every month – every day! – God wants ALL that we do to be done in love! Everyone in the world can be loving in some things, but God wants us to be loving in ALL things.  “ALL things” includes ALL things, no part of your story left out. In which part of your “all” is it hardest to love? Let’s pray right now asking God to help you love in this area today.

Why

God, why does this matter?
Love matters because it reflects our relationship with Jesus. He said, “By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another” (John 13:35 NIV). It is by our love, in ALL things, that others will see Him through us. We love because He first loved us – ALL of us. We do not deserve His love, yet He loves us despite our shortcomings. How can we make it a point to look past others’ shortcomings this week and love them, in ALL things, like Christ has loved us?

What

God, What Else Does Your Word Say About This?
Love matters because it reflects our relationship with Jesus. He said, “By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another” (John 13:35 NIV). It is by our love, in ALL things, that others will see Him through us. We love because He first loved us – ALL of us. We do not deserve His love, yet He loves us despite our shortcomings. How can we make it a point to look past others’ shortcomings this week and love them, in ALL things, like Christ has loved us?

Worship

God, How do you want me to respond to this truth?
Loving in ALL circumstances to ALL people is not easy to do. Yet God has promised to equip us with ALL that we need to do His work (Hebrews 13:20-21). His ‘work’ is to love in ALL things; we just have to claim His promise and ask for His help. Our great act of worship is to ask for His help then love like He does. He will give us ALL we need to love in ALL things. This is how we will each have a true Love Story, in every page and chapter of our lives.
1 Corinthians 16:14
“Let all that you do be done in love.”

A Family Blessing

A Blessing from this Lesson to Speak over Those God has Entrusted to You!

“May God equip you with all you need for doing His will, so that you love well in good times and bad times, easy times and hard times. May He produce in you, through the power of Jesus, the ability to love, not just in some things, but in all things. May your life story be a Love Story, and to God be the glory in each page and chapter, in Jesus’ Name, amen!”
