Homeschool in Hard Times
You suddenly find yourself at home responsible for your kids’ education. What to do? Homeschool! You can do it! Here’s encouragement from a 10 year homeschool veteran!
20/20 Vision for Life
As we spend time with Him, we are able to see things the way He sees them. Spending time with Him is how we get rid of our myopia. Letting His Word do surgery in our hearts is how we get rid of our lives’ cataracts. Meditating on His promises is how we can have the best possible multi-focal vision in the layers and nuances of our lives. Prayer is how we align our focus on what matters to Him.
Storming Social Media…because my kids are there!
Truth is, I have a deep-seated hatred for Instagram because of the monster it unleashed on those I love. So why am I posting now?
My Jesus Story
I thought I didn’t have much of a story to share, but Jesus said, “Go Tell.” It’s not about how great my story is (or is not) but about HIS story.
God Whispers
How was I going to hear God? How would I hear His “WHISPER” to me? I remembered those verses from John 10, “I am the good Shepherd. I know my own and my own know me,” and realized it was by knowing Him that I would hear Him.

Apple Juice On Tap
God could easily respond with a big, loud NO when we cry to Him. But He doesn’t. He is quick to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger.
The Game Changer

A Mother’s Glory in Discipleship
How far does a momma’s influence reach? When does she get to see whether her light and life make a difference? How can she know if her children will choose to follow the Lord? We mommas disciple our children. However, much as we would like, we cannot control the...
Women of the Mirrors Reflecting God’s Glory
What does it look like to reflect God in this world? And what sacrifice am I willing to make to do this? A very literal example of this in Scripture has captured my heart. During the time of the Exodus, the Israelites were in the wilderness, recent...
What Is Your Name?
God’s hears our voices when we cry - - - but do we listen for His? I have some barnyard beauties who show me what that ought to look like. Down in the chicken fortress are my chicken girls, some of whom I inherited from a lovely neighbor, some of which I...
