Decision One: “My Heart”
First, Seek Him...
While the world says follow your heart, God says set your heart fully on Him. This choice affects everything about your life. Which will you choose? Let’s seek Him in His Word about this!
...Then Speak Him
As we personally choose to love God with all our hearts, we can encourage those entrusted to us to do the same, not seeking the world’s approval for God’s blessing.

Luke 10:27

Word
God, what are you saying to me through this Scripture?
Jesus tells us to love Him with not just some of our hearts but ALL our hearts. He wants us to make Him the center of everything in our lives, starting with who we love most. ~ What does God want you to do with your heart? How much of your heart does He want? Have you given your heart to Him?
Why
God, why does this matter?
The world tells us to follow our hearts, but Jesus said, “Out of the heart come evil thoughts—murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander” (Matthew 15:19). Truth is, we have to choose to trust the world or Jesus about this. Either we give our hearts to God and follow His way, or we trust the world and follow our hearts to their own ends. ~ Why would our hearts lead us badly? Does it matter to you what the Bible teaches about your heart? What will you do with YOUR heart?
What
God, What Else Does Your Word Say About This?
For those who set their hearts on God, He promises: “They will be my people, and I will be their God. I will give them singleness of heart and action, so that…all will then go well for them and for their children… I will make an everlasting covenant with them: I will never stop doing good to them, and I will inspire them to fear me, so that they will never turn away from me. I will rejoice in doing them good and will assuredly plant them in this land with all my heart and soul” (Jeremiah 32:38-41). This doesn’t mean our lives will be perfect, but it does promise our lives will be blessed. ~ There are multiple blessings God promises in this passage. What are they? Are there any of these that sound good to you?
Worship
God, How do you want me to respond to this truth?
God says, “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart” (Jeremiah 29:13). ~ How can you seek God with your whole heart? Will you love Him most? Why or why not? Let’s pray!
